Rex McGee honored with Golden Trowel ![]()
David Davey, Master of the Lodge, presented the award and conducted the ceremony. Davey presented the Golden Trowel pin to McGee and Davey’s wife, Barbara, pinned it to McGee’s collar. In his 35 years with the Masons, McGee has served as Master six times in five Lodges, as Treasurer four times in four Lodges, and as Secretary three times in three lodges. He served as District Deputy Grand Master in 1995 and has served as District Communications Officer and District Education Officer many times over the years in District 6 and District 70. He served as President, Vice-president and Secretary/Treasurer in the Shriners Club, Scottish Rite Club and the Masters, Wardens & Secretary’s Association numerous times. McGee said “I am honored to receive this award, but like the masonic ring, it is not for show. It is to be a reminder to each of us that we are here to try to live up to what we, as masons, should be doing. |
