Pittsburg Chapter # 381 Order of the Eastern Star presents

Carole McGee, Deputy Grand Matron of District 1, Section 9 Order of the Eastern Star, Grand Chapter of Texas was the recipient of the Golden Star Award for Pittsburg Chapter # 381 OES on Tuesday, April 08, 2025, at Frank Sexton Lodge in Pittsburg, Texas. Each Chapter may present one outstanding member per Chapter year with the Golden Star Award. Mrs. McGee currently serves as Secretary of the Pittsburg Chapter.
Mrs. McGee served as Worthy Matron in Pittsburg 3 times and a total of ten times in Mt. Pleasant (now demised) Pittsburg, Daingerfield, and Omaha Chapters. She has served as an officer in three Chapters each year as well as serves as Secretary in the Friends of Section Nine-line Officers Club for the past fifteen years. Mrs. McGee served as Secretary of the Past Matrons and Past Patrons of District one from 2019-2021. She has held Grand Chapter positions such as Grand Chapter Poet Laureate, Grand Chapter Fraternal Correspondent, Grand Representative of North Dakota in Texas, and Secretary to the Worthy Grand Patron James Parker. She has also served as Deputy Grand Matron in 2015 -2016.
