Golden Trowel Award Presented to Mark Munkresby Rex McGee
![]() Brother Munkres, center with award in hand, and members of his family, friends, and members of the Lodge. Brother Mark Munkres was presented the prestigious Golden Trowel Award by members of David Elliott Lodge # 364 at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, October 22, 2022, at the Lodge in Omaha. The Award was presented to Brother Munkres by Brother Billy Williams, Past Mast of David Elliott Lodge, and father-in-law of the recipient. Brother Munkres served as Worshipful Master of David Elliott Lodge in Masonic year 2016-2017 and served as District Deputy Grand Master of Masonic District # 6 several years later. He has served in several offices prior to and after his year as Master of the Lodge. He is currently serving as the Secretary of the Lodge. The Golden Trowel is the Lodge’s formal recognition of a brother for his devoted service to Masonic principles in general or to his Lodge. The Golden Trowel Award is intended to recognize the brother who, year after year, quietly, but actively demonstrates his devotion to the teachings of Masonry. You will find them at labor in the kitchens, on the work committees, in public office, on community projects, in-service clubs, heavily involved in their church activities, and in schools – anywhere that a true and steady hand of assistance is needed. After the program everyone gathered for pictures of the occasion and then retired to the Hospitality room where refreshments were served, and everyone enjoyed a time of socializing with other guests. |
